Ingredients (4 people):

  • 350 grams of lentils
  • 1 chicken breast
  • 4 perita tomatoes
  • 2 onions (1 purple and 1 white)
  • 100 grams of sweet corn
  • 100 grams of arugula
  • 1 tablespoon of oregano
  • 1 tablespoon of cumin
  • ground black pepper
  • herbs for provencal
  • olive oil
  • Salt

To prepare the vinaigrette, in addition:

  • 12 mint leaves
  • 1 clove garlic
  • olive oil
  • juice of one lemon

preparation:

  1. You can leave the lentils to soak the night before or not, as you prefer.
  2. Place them on the fire to cook with oregano, chopped white onion, cumin, salt, olive oil and black pepper.
  3. When it boils, lower the heat to a minimum and let them cook for about 40 minutes (until they are tender).
  4. Drain and let cool.
  5. Fillet the chicken breast, season and season with the Provençal herbs. You can grill them with olive oil.
  6. Prepare the vinaigrette separately as follows: in the blender glass, mix the garlic, mint leaves, lemon juice and olive oil until you get a light cream. Do not forget to season.

  • 250 grams of cooked lentils
  • 150 grams of sweet potatoes
  • 100 grams of cream or cream
  • 100 ml of vegetable or meat broth
  • fresh ginger

  • turmeric
  • cumin

  • olive oil

preparation:

  1. When the lentils are cooked, prepare them with leek, garlic and the spice that you like.
  2. Add the cooked sweet potato already cut into slices, then the broth, cream, salt and spices.
  3. Blend everything until you get a cream. Pour in a little oil and mix well.

This is a rather traditional recipe to be able to eat lentils at ease, perfect for cold days. It is a kind of stew, but without using the sausages that could harm those who suffer from cholesterol or hypertension. A lean meat can be used and it is ideal for those who do diet.

Ingredients (4 people):

  • 300 grams of lentils
  • 400 grams of beef
  • half an onion
  • half green bell pepper
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • half a tablespoon of cumin
  • laurel
  • ground black pepper
  • fresh thyme
  • a teaspoon of sugar
  • olive oil
  • Salt

preparation:

  1. Let the lentils soak overnight and then cook them with water and a little salt.
  2. Chop the onion very finely, break the garlic with a blow of a knife, cut the green pepper into thin strips so that they are the same size as the onion, grate the tomatoes and add a little sugar.
  3. The meat should be cut into cubes that are not too big.
  4. Then brown it with a splash of olive oil. Add vegetables until tender.
  5. Lastly, add the tomato and thyme. What remains is to add the strained lentils, stir well and season with bay leaf and cumin.
